We built a revolutionary, configurable object-oriented platform using the latest XML architecture and a true, open-object design that separates all business logic into loosely-coupled, independent objects with interoperability across enterprise technologies, such as: Oracle, SQL Server, J2EE and .Net. In addition, we developed an easy to use toolset to reconfigure and extend the objects. This unique capability permitted variables such as rates, business rules, or transaction protocols to be changed very quickly -- sometimes in as little as an hour. This same bid-to-bill energy business platform remains North America’s most widely used retail billing and customer care application for competitive energy retailers. The transaction platform that runs the Italian wholesale power exchange was also designed and built by the Osprey team, and has been in continual service since 2002.
